Automation, Process and Industrial Controls: A New South Wales based company is interested in talking to UK companies looking for an Australian distributor for their automation, process and industrial controls.

Products distributed include electric/electronic hardware and software, ranging from complex controllers such as PLCs, DCS, SCADA software down to simple buttons and relays. This includes process instrumentation such as analysers, pressure, level, flow etc and safety controls (the latter is identified as an area of growth).

Gorgon Gas Project: Chevron Australia's revised $50 Billion plan for Australia's biggest resource project on Barrow Island has been given the green light.
 
The project, which will be capable of producing 15 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas a year and could start delivering as soon as 2014, will employ about 10,000 workers at the peak of construction.

Updated Queensland Infrastructure Plan: Queensland Government has updated the South East Queensland (SEQ)regional infrastructure plan, up to 2031. SEQ has been Australia's fastest growing region for three decades, and State government predicts population will rise from 2.8 million to 4.4 million by 2031, requiring an extra 750,000 homes.
